Clinical Trials >> Weight Loss (starts August 2026):

Weight Loss (starts August 2026):

According to the World Health Organization, more than 890 million adults aged 18 or older were living with obesity (BMI ≥ 30 kg) in 2022. This corresponds to 16% of the world's adult population. Obesity is associated with the risk of developing numerous comorbidities, including but not limited to type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, which all lead to reduced life expectancy and quality of life.

The purpose of this clinical research trial is to evaluate the effect of the investigational trial medication compared to placebo on reducing body weight. At some point in the trial, everyone will be on active medication.

The trial will last about 64 weeks with 16 clinic visits. The investigational trial medication is an injection.

A few qualifications to participate are:

  • Age 18 – 75 years old
  • BMI ≥ 30 kg or ≥ 27 kg – 30 kg with hypertension, dyslipidemia, obstructive sleep apnea, cardiovascular disease, or MASLD.
  • Can not be diabetic
  • No weight loss medications in the last 180 days

Qualified participants will:

  • See a physician and dietitian at no cost
  • Receive pertinent tests and imaging at no cost
  • Receive compensation for time and travel
