Uncontrolled hypertension represents a clear unmet medical need in a population with obesity, such that in the 2025 guidelines, the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology recommended considering drugs for treating obesity, like GLP-1 receptor agonists.
The purpose of this clinical research trial is to compare the efficacy and safety of investigational trial medications and placebo in participants with hypertension and obesity with or without type 2 diabetes, regardless of whether they have a hypertension diagnosis or take antihypertensive medication at baseline.
This trial is approximately 42 weeks with up to 15 visits. The investigational trial medication is an injection.
