Anita R. Scribner MD, MPH – Medical Director
Dr. Scribner is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. As the only ID specialist in far NE Texas she continually provides care to her growing private practice at DCOL. She has been Principal Investigator on numerous Phase II, III, and IV clinical trials in the area of HIV/AIDS, and acts as Sub-Investigator on all other multi-specialty trials.
 
Angel I. Ribó PA-C, MPAS – Director
Angel has been Sub-Investigator for all clinical trials and is also a leader in bringing numerous HIV/AIDS industry sponsored clinical trials to enhance patient options for care in this rural community. Angel previously served for 17 years at Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas, Texas where he was a primary care provider and first became involved in the area of clinical research.
 
Sharon A. Coppinger, CCRC – Clinic Supervisor
Sharon Coppinger has been in the research industry for over ten years. She is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator and has coordinated or managed more than sixty clinical trials. She has spent the last five years working in the area of business development. Sharon previously worked for reSearch for Health, Health Advance Institute and nTouch Research.
 
Tammi Latus RN, BSN, CCRC – Research Coordinator
Tammi Latus is a registered nurse and has over eight years experience working in the medical field. Before joining DCOL she previously participated in Oncology clinical trials. She coordinates many of the HIV/AIDS clinical trials, as well as other multi-specialty trials.
 
Carrie Green RN BSN – Research Coordinator
Carrie has been an RN since 2003 graduating from East Texas Baptist University. She was previously employed at Longview and Marshall Regional Medical Centers. Her wonderful personality as well as her clinical experience in women’s care, pediatrics and radiology will serve her well in her role as Clinical Research Coordinator.
 
Phillip Boaz RN MSN – Research Coordinator
Phillip received his Masters in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 1992. For 7 years he worked as Infection Control Director at Good Shepherd Medical Center here in Longview. He also worked as Trauma Coordinator for 8 years at the University of Louisville and 2 years as a Clinical Research Coordinator, both in Kentucky. His previous administrative, clinical and research experience is a great asset to our team.
 
Kendra Crisler BS – Research Coordinator
Kendra is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University and holds a B.S. degree in Health Education. Her experience in research spans medical device trials, genetic research, as well as scholastic research publications. Kendra has also assisted in special health therapy programs, medical missions, and other community health outreach programs. Her excellent people skills will be an asset in her role as Clinical Research Coordinator.
 
Keith Still ASPT – Phlebotomist/Research Assistant
Keith has worked as a Phlebotomist since 2004. He worked at our own Diagnostic Clinic of Longview laboratory since October 2005 and part time at Longview Regional Hospital. Since joining our staff he has taken charge of our research center’s laboratory area and has also been assisting the Clinical Research Coordinators in their research activities.
 
Sue Faul – Contracts & Financial Administrator
Sue has a degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota and has extensive experience in the financial arena as it relates to establishing new systems of accountability in different business settings. Her expertise and focus in this important area assures that we continue to have fast start ups on our new studies while insuring that our financial approaches are fiscally sound.
 
Sue Bates – Quality Control/Regulatory Coordinator
Sue handles all quality control duties, regulatory documents and issues, and invoicing responsibilities as well as maintaining current investigator and coordinator CV’s and licenses. She brings to our research center extensive business experience and expertise acquired in her previous career as an executive assistant.
 
Beth Barnes – Receptionist
Beth is the person who serves as our first point of contact. Her pleasant personality and her ability to multi-task are great attributes as she channels all those who contact us to the appropriate individuals within our organization. Beth is also key is assisting the Regulatory Coordinator and the CRC’s in various administrative duties.
